I believe you’re right. The first thing he said as he was getting out of the car was “I need to see my son and daughter”. He had not looked up to see me standing there at that point. :)

Like I told you before, sometimes they just need things to be dealt with and see us one last time before they go. Very similar situation with both my dad's father and my mom's father - as in, they waited to see them both and then they were gone. I'm still very sorry for your loss, but I'm glad you were able to see him before he passed.

In the U.S. — "Private Eyes" by Hall & Oates. But the most fitting is the U.K. No. 1 — "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by The Police. And don't you forget it.

I live in California too. According to 2006 Census data Hispanics are 35.9% and White non-Hispanics are 43.1%. Of people who consider themselves to be "one race" 76.9% indicated white. Hispanics don't really consider themselves to be all one race. U.S. federal law defines Hispanic or Latino as any person with ancestry from a Spanish-speaking Latin American country or Spain, regardless of race. You can be Hispanic and black (Sammy Sosa) or be a Caucasian-appearing person with one Mexican grandparent.

Govt census data is usually 1-2 years behind because it takes that long to collect and analyze the data. I'm pretty sure 2006 is the most recent.

Actually, I live in California, and the most recent census data indicates that over 50% of the state's population is hispanic. So, in this state, we actually are a minority. Heck, with all the asians, and, the real minority, african americans, running around, we're actually a real minority here. You might want to think about that.

Maybe you should've just left her alone after the apology. You'll never be on her good side and I don't think you should try to be.
