I’m just sayin…

Let me preface by saying I love dogs as much as anyone on the planet and what Michael Vick did is despicable on many levels. He brought this all on himself and I have no sympathy for the guy…….however.

I think someone should explain why Michael Vick is scum of the earth for shooting, drowning, electrocuting and hanging dogs meanwhile John Gotti, who probably shot, drowned, electrocuted and hung even more humans is a national hero amongst many white Americans. Why do we vilify gangster rappers and the inner city drug culture and at the same time romanticize the Mafia?

Yes. You can make the case that mafia guys killing other mafia guys is a win-win for the rest of America but not everyone they killed or harmed was involved in organized crime. John Gotti allegedly chainsawed a guy to death in his basement after he struck and killed Gotti’s grandson in a car accident. Consider all the businesses they shook down until they went bankrupt. Consider the mafia tax that went into New York construction projects.

Vick is going to pay the price for what he’s done. There is no doubt about that. Let’s move the f*ck on. If the American people were 25% as outraged by the near 3,000 soldiers that have died in Iraq as they are about those eight dogs WE’D BE OUT OF THERE ALREADY!

GO DAWGS!!!

One foggy night a Georgia fan was heading south and a
Florida fan was driving north. While crossing a
narrow bridge they hit each other head-on, mangling
both cars.

The Georgia fan manages to climb out of his car and
survey the damage. He looks at his twisted car and
says, “Man, I’m lucky to be alive”. Likewise, the
Florida fan gets out of his car uninjured, he too,
feeling fortunate to have survived.

The Florida fan walks over to the Georgia fan and
says, “Hey, man, I think this is a sign that we
should put away our petty differences and live as
friends instead of being rivals.” The Georgia fan
thinks for a moment and says, “You know, you’re
absolutely right! We should be friends. In fact, I’m
going to see if something else survived the wreck.”

The Georgia fan then pops open the trunk of his car
and removes a full undamaged bottle of Jack Daniels.
He says to the Florida fan, “I think this is another
sign that we should toast to our newfound friendship.”

The Florida fan agrees and grabs the bottle. After
sucking down half of the bottle, the Florida fan hands
the bottle back to the Georgia fan and says, “Your
turn”. The Georgia fan calmly twists the cap back on
the bottle, throws the rest of the bottle over the
bridge into the river and says, “Nah, I think I’ll
just wait for the cops to show up.”

Bud Selig, you suck!

I hate Barry Bonds as much as anyone on the planet but I will say this. This Barry Bonds steroid controversy is all Bud Selig’s fault. MLB has sat on it’s collective ass for decades and ignored the steroids issue. He has profited from tv ratings and broadcast revenue that have gone thru the roof all because chicks dig the long ball. Corked bats, juiced balls, juiced players. Now that the sport’s most revered record in professional sports is about to broken it’s way too fucking late to pretend to care about the integrity of the game now. You shoulda thought about that back around 1985 when steroids first became an issue. It’s YOUR fault he’s about to break the record. When Barry Bonds hits 756 your punk bitch ass needs to be standing at home plate ready to shake his hand. When the game is over your punk bitch ass needs to be on a plane to Hank Aaron’s house so you can apologize to his face for letting drugs steal his record. Mother fuck you, Bud Selig. Thank you and good night.

Y’all are lucky I’m alive

I actually fell asleep at the wheel on the way to the gym yesterday and hit someone from behind. I knew it was coming because my eyes shut 2-3 times before that. I have no clue how fast we were moving (cuz I was O-U-T) but it must been < 5mph. There was no damage to either car. I get sleepy in the late afternoons a lot. I ‘try’ to eat something around 4pm and that usually makes a big difference. I need to be checked for diabetes or something. My dad has that but he has always eaten like crap whereas I eat pretty healthy.

One of my college track teammates fell asleep at the wheel and lost a leg. Thankfully for me its mostly likely to happen when I’m sitting at a light, not when I’m barreling down a highway.

I still went to the gym and worked out though.
