The Boys Are Back!

Woohoo! After three straight losing seasons my West Georgia Braves are finally turning things around. It started off like it was gonna be another rough year with two straight losses, however both of those teams are now ranked in the top 20. Since then we’ve won three straight and if we get by #14 Arkansas Tech this weekend we have a good shot at making it seven in a row. The coaching staff has been aggressively recruiting transfers from D-I schools and it is paying off in spades. The offensive line has a couple of guys from Troy University and once again we have the leading rusher in the Gulf South Conference. Go Abe! Best of all, we finally have a quarterback that can hit the broad side of a barn! A couple of LB transfers from Clemson are kicking major league buttocks on defense . We have three ranked teams left on the schedule so winning seven games will still be tough but I think we can do it. Since 1981 West Georgia has never had someone picked in the NFL draft; everyone who played pro has been a free agent signing. This year we have 3 potential draftees….should be exciting.

I’m pretty shocked that Marty even made it to the final. I didn’t watch the show religiously but I remember his performance in the very first show. He grabbed some girl by the hair and yanked it pretty hard a couple of times and for longer than he needed to to get the effect. I thought the INXS guys woulda kicked him just for that. Anyway, I don’t think his voice has enough range so I can’t see him lasting more than one album, if that. He just sings too flat.
I couldn’t get past MiG’s ears. They stick out past his hair so much he looks like he could play one of the hobbits from Lord of the Rings w/o any makeup. He’s just got a weird look goin on.
